1. What is Mohawk?
Mohawk Voice, or simply Mohawk, is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) application geared to facilitate communication for gaming communities, competitive gamers, and businesses alike. Mohawk is the next evolution in VoIP. 2. How was Mohawk developed? Mohawk is three years in the making, first conceptualized in the early months of 2005. Since then, it has gone from an idea to a reality, looking to provide a high quality voice application which utilizes less resources then established names. Written in Delphi/Pascal, it’s an extremely lightweight code base, with one of the most driven and intelligent development teams behind its production. 3. Who can use Mohawk Voice? Anyone! Mohawk is easy to download, easy to install, and most importantly, easy to use. Whether you’re a World of Warcraft guild looking for a new solution, a Counter Strike clan looking for a more efficient means of communication for scrims, or a casual user looking for a more affordable way to speak to your family cross country, Mohawk will fit your needs. 4. What does Mohawk do that its competitors don’t? Mohawk was designed with one major philosophy in mind: ease of use, and low resources. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is clean and simple. The bandwidth utilization is considerably lower than competing products. Mohawk also brings to the table some added features, namely one click comment copying, URL hyper linking straight from the program, and a fully configurable administration structure. |
